Lithium difluoro(oxalato)borate (LIODFB) is a high performance lithium-ion battery salt with high cycle life, power capability, and low-temperature, high rate performance. It combines the advantages of lithium bis(oxalate)borate (LiBOB) and LiBF 4. LIODFB also stabilizes the solid electrolyte interface (SEI) on the surface of the graphite anode, and can be used as an additive to improve the cycling efficiency and capacity retention of the battery.
